These two have a long-time, love. Seriously, what a privilege to document this important little day in their big love story. They were middle school sweethearts (yes, middle school, you read that right) and together for 12 years before getting engaged!

As I think back on witnessing this love, I think of a sudden sharp breeze on a sun-baked beach.

You know that feeling on a chilly night around a bonfire when you put your feet up to rest on the rim of the fire pit, and you can feel the warmth slowly spreading up to the rest of your body? It always seems to skip the shins, but you get what I mean, right?

That’s what being with Erin and Lucas felt like to my heart. My cold little feet getting warm again when I was just starting to want to go inside.

Poppies dancing in a field. A cold breeze in your hair on a golden mountaintop. Leaves whooshing up into the sky on sudden a gust of wind. Twinkling raindrops in the afternoon sunshine. A firework.
